Woman Killed In Alleged Hit And Run In Northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a woman was killed in a Northeast Portland hit-and-run crash.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports police said officers on patrol came upon the victim, who has not been publicly identified, lying in the street at about 11:40 p.m.
The officers called for paramedics, but the woman died at the scene.
Investigators believe she was struck by a vehicle.
Police say her death marks the 28th traffic fatality in Portland this year.
