Washington State Department Of Health Prepares For Increase In Abortion Requests

(Olympia, WA) — The Washington State Department of Health is preparing for an increase in patients seeking abortions following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Deputy Secretary of Health Lacy Fehrenbach says the department is working with reproductive service providers to ensure access to abortion services for anyone who comes to the state.

Fehrenbach says data shows policies that restrict access to abortions lead to an increase in unsafe procedures.
