Police Make Arrest In Connection To Saturday Morning Burglary

Portland Police announced the arrest of one person in connection to an early Saturday morning burglary.

27 Year old Brooklyn Collins was taken into custody on charges of Burglary in the First Degree and Interfering with a Police Officer.

Detectives are still investigating and believe other suspects are still outstanding.

Portland Police say they are investigating a possible gunfight between two moving cars.

The incident happened Saturday morning when officers say they responded to a call of a burglary in progress in the 8400 block of North Seward Ave.

According to police, as they were responding they learned that a car had fled the scene with another car following, and that shots were fired.

Police say shortly after, they responded to a call that the two alleged vehicles involved in the incident had stopped in a parking lot on Northwest Glisan Street.

Officers say they detained at least two people.

No injuries have been reported.
