Hillsboro Shooting Suspect Arrested

Hillsboro, OR. — Update from Hillsboro Police Dept.:
Detectives arrested Fidencio Diaz-Eguiza, 61, for yesterday’s shooting at 2798 Southeast Tumblestone Drive. He was lodged in the Washington County Jail for attempted murder, second-degree assault, and unlawful use of weapon. The 59-year-old victim, his wife, is expected to survive.

A woman was shot in Hillsboro and police are looking for a 61-year-old man in connection with the shooting. Investigators say the victim suffered a serious gunshot wound around 4:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the 2700 block of Southeast Tumblestone Drive. Detectives believe Fidencio Diaz-Equiza may know something about the shooting. Diaz-Eguiza is described as 5-foot-10, 220 pounds. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
