Person Dies While Leaving Multnomah County Shelter

PORTLAND, Ore. – A person who was staying at Multnomah County’s overflow shelter is dead after collapsing while leaving the facility.

It happened Saturday outside of the Multnomah County East Building, when a staff member saw the person collapse and started CPR.

The unidentified person was transported to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation.
