One Person Dies In North Portland Apartment Fire

PORTLAND, Ore. — Firefighters rushed to an apartment fire on North Argyle Way early Friday morning and found a person severely injured in a second story unit.  The patient was rushed to the hospital where they later died.

Crews were able to put the fire out in 30 minutes.  Investigators have not yet determined the cause.

Animal Control Services treated a dog found alive in the apartment.
