One Killed In NE Portland Shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man is dead following a shooting early Saturday morning in Northeast Portland.

Police responded to an apartment near Northeast 131st Place and Prescott Drive where they found a man who had been shot in the leg.  Police applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, but 44-year-old Corey Eady died at a hospital.

Police have not made an arrest in the shooting and no information about the suspect has been released.

This is the 11th homicide of the year.
