Multnomah County Declares State Of Emergency For Possible Snow, Plans To Open 4 Severe Weather Shelters
PORTLAND, Ore. – With the chance of up to 3 inches of snow tonight in the Portland-metro area, Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson has declared a state of emergency that will start at 6 p.m..
The County will open four severe weather shelters at 8 p.m. They are at:

Cook Plaza: 19421 S.E. Stark St., Gresham, operated by Cultivate Initiatives

Powell Shelter: 7332 S.E. Powell Blvd., Portland, operated by Transition Projects

Division Place: 323 S.E. Division Place, Portland, operated by Multnomah County

Imago Dei: 1302 S.E. Ankeny St., Portland, operated by Do Good Multnomah
A limited number of severe weather beds are also opening at an existing all-year shelter:

Market Street Shelter, 120 S.E. Market St., Portland, operated by All Good Northwest (limited additional capacity; call 2-1-1 first)
The County’s “Care for When It’s Cold” site at multco.us/cold will post shelter hours, locations and any updates as conditions change.
No one seeking shelter will be turned away.
