Grocery Union Calls For Fred Meyer Boycot

The local grocery union, UFCW Local 555,  is asking customers to boycott all Fred Meyer stores in Oregon and SW Washington.

The union says this is in response to Unfair Labor Practices by the Grocery Chain, and an effort to move management in negotiations.

Kelley McAllister, a spokesperson for the union says they don’t have an end-date for the boycott.

The next round of bargaining is scheduled for September 26th and 27th.
