Deadly House Fire In Oregon City

OREGON CITY, Ore. — One person died in a fire that destroyed a home early Monday morning.  Firefighters encountered smoke and flames pouring out of the house on Beverly Drive at Molalla Avenue just after 1:30.

“Within minutes, our crews entered from the back of the building and located a single occupant and immediately got them outside and started to render medical aid,” said Clackamas Fire Battalion Chief Brandon Paxton.

The person died despite efforts to revive them.  The adult victim has not been identified.

The fire is under investigation and the home is expected to be a total loss.
