Wages Going Up In Oregon, Inflation Too

SALEM, Ore–Oregon State Economist Josh Lehner  says not as many Oregonians are working, but those that are could get as much as 15% wage increases in 2022.  His recent economic report indicates inflation will take a big bite out the family budget.  Inflation could get as high as 11%.

Notable cost increases are seen in airfare, hotel stays, food prices, and the cost of cars and trucks. Families where two people are normally employed may be down to one person working.  Increased wages could allow the second person in the household to stay out of the job market.
