Portland, Or. – Portland businessman Gordan Sondland plans to stay on the job as U.S. Ambassador to the European Union. The Oregonian/Oregon Live reports his attorney confirms Sondland has no plans to step down in the wake of the impeachment inquiry and his revised testimony about quid pro quo. The attorney says Sondland has the full support of the Secretary of State. Sondland reportedly plans to return to Brussels next week. He’s in Portland right now to attend a funeral this weekend.
