CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Three years since a man and woman from Estacada were murdered at an improvised target shooting area in the Mt. Hood National Forest, the search for their killer continues.
42-year-old Stacy Rickerd and 43-year-old Jeremy Merchant were shot and killed on August 12th, 2019.
Their bodies were found at a gravel pit used for recreational shooting just off Highway 224 about five miles east of the Promontory Park Campground.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is still actively investigating the murders. Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Tips can be left by calling (503) 723-4949 and reference Case #: 2019-018794.
