Police Investigating a Deadly Shooting at Broughton Beach Along the Columbia River.

Portland, OR. — Officers were called to a report of a person shot at Broughton Beach at 4701 Northeast Marine Drive just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Police say a large group of people gathered at the beach, and a fight broke out. During the fight someone fired a gun and struck a man. The suspect fled the area, along with a number of people on the beach. When police arrived, one person was performing CPR on the victim, but he died at the scene. Investigators want to hear from anyone who fled the scene, or has information or video of the incident.
