Oregon Vaping Ban Starts Today
Portland, Ore. – Starting today you can no longer buy new flavored vaping products in Oregon. The six month ban covers both nicotine and THC products. Many local stores were packed Monday with last minute buyers. News partner KGW dropped by “KC’s Smoke and Vape” last night in Gresham. They say their business is taking a huge financial hit with the ban, and they’ve had several disappointed customers already. The OLCC will do random checks starting today to make sure stores are no longer selling the banned products. Store owners who violate the ban will get a warning first. After that they’ll face fines of up to $500 dollars each day. Some vapers have asked the newsroom to clarify, Oregonians can still smoke their vape pens and vaping devices where it’s legal to do so, like inside your private residence. The new ban just prevents the sell of new vaping products in the state.
