MILWAUKIE, Ore. — Neighbors in Milwaukie are pretty happy to hear the spot that Albertsons vacated in 2015 will become home to New Seasons Market.
The anchor tenant spot at Milwaukie Marketplace on SE Oak Street will be filled by the fall of 2023.
New Seasons plans on remodeling the 42,000 square foot space.
“The Food desert is gone in the community. To say this is exciting is an understatement,” says Milwaukie Mayor Mark Gamba.
The marketplace has had problems keeping tenants even before the pandemic. Joann Fabric and Crafts will move out in April. McGrath’s Fish House, a longtime staple, closed a year ago.
