Murder Under Investigation At Salem Motel

SALEM, Ore. — A person was shot and killed at Capital Inn & Suites on Fisher Road NE early on the morning of June 8th.

Salem Police officers were called to the motel around 3:30am and found the victim dead.  He has been identified as 21-year-old Davontae Deshawn Smith of Portland.

There is no information available for release regarding a suspect at this time.
