Middle School Student In Salem Allegedly Brings Gun To Class

SALEM, Ore. – A student at Stephens Middle School in Salem is accused of bringing a gun to class.
Officers responded to the school just before 11 Monday morning after receiving a report that the gun was hidden in the student’s backpack.
Officers allegedly found the gun and took the student to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The student faces several charges.
- Menacing, two counts
- Unlawful possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm in a public building
