Metro Measure Failing

PORTLAND, Ore. – The “Metro Measure” is going down.

Measure 26-218 would have authorized the Metro Council to impose a payroll tax up to 0.75-percent on companies with more than 25 employees.

The money would have been used to fund traffic, safety, and transit improvement programs.

However, it’s failing 57 percent to 44 percent.
