LISTEN: Prom Date Goes Viral

Carson Preece just graduated from high school and college in the same week.  While that’s quite a feat, that’s not what has made him an internet superstar this month.  It’s the fact that he asked Izzie to prom.  Izzie has Rett Syndrome and Angelman’s Syndrome.  Having both at once makes her one of only 17 known cases in the world.   Izzie had a date to her Special Needs Prom in American Fork, Utah but that young man came down with COVID, so her mom put out a request on social media asking for someone to take her to the dance.   Several people responded, but Izzie’s mom chose Carson.  Others in the community stepped up to help pay for prom expenses.
