Fire Truck Involved In Serious Crash
Marion County, Ore. — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office CRASH Team responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the 4200 block of Delaney Rd SE on April 5, 2023, at approximately 12:47 pm. One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a Turner Fire Engine that was on its way to respond to a call for service. The driver, who was the only person in the fire engine, was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no one else involved in the crash was reported injured.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no further information is currently available. The Sheriff’s Office would like to extend its gratitude to the following agencies for their support and assistance during the incident: 911 dispatch (METCOM and Willamette Valley Communications Center), Willamette Valley First Responders Chaplaincy, Jefferson Fire Department, Salem Fire Department, Marion County Fire District #1, Keizer Police Department, and Marion County Public Works.
