If you need a good excuse to go out to eat, here’s one: Several restaurants in Clackamas County are donating some of their profits today to domestic violence programs.

It’s called Dine Out to End Domestic Violence. Money raised today goes for emergency housing, legal help, and counseling for victims, and to Camp Hope, Oregon.

One in three women, one in four men, and nearly half of LGBTQ+ people will experience domestic violence in their lifetime

Melissa Erlbaum is the executive director of Clackamas Women’s Services and says even though domestic violence happens mainly behind closed doors, it impacts A LOT of people.

Restaurants participating today include CUP OF TEA and STANFORD’s in Clackamas, JACKPOT FOODS in Oregon City, OSWEGO NOODLE HOUSE, STICKMEN BREWING, and YOLOTL in Happy Valley. At Oregon City Brewing Company one dollar from each beverage sold between 5-10 pm EVERY TUESDAY this month goes to the women’s program.
