UPDATE: Missing Mushroom Picker Found Safe

UPDATE – 10/15/19 – Jung Van Atta was found safe on Tuesday afternoon. The 75-year-old was located in the Woodard Creek Drainage area. The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office says she’s stable, but they’re still working to get her out of the woods.

Stevenson, Wash.- Search resumes today for a 74 year old Vancouver woman, missing since Saturday near Stevenson, Washington. Jung Van Atta was mushroom picking with a friend, left the car to get more mushrooms and never returned.

Skamania County Undersheriff Patrick Bond says she is not dressed for the weather and over night temps have been in the 40’s. Ground crews were joined Sunday be drones, dog teams and a helicopter.
