Man Dies After Being Hit By Two Cars In Northeast Portland

Portland, Ore. — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Monday, February 5, 2024, around 6:30 p.m. Officers from the North Precinct responded to reports of a person struck by multiple vehicles at the intersection of NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and NE Gertz Road.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male deceased in the roadway. Both drivers involved in the incident remained at the scene and are cooperating with law enforcement. The Major Crash Team was activated to conduct the investigation.

As a result of the crash, NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd between NE Columbia Blvd and NE Marine Drive will be closed for several hours to allow investigators to process the scene and gather evidence.
