Independence Man Killed In Scio Plane Crash

SCIO, Ore. – A small plane crashed Sunday near Scio.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says 78-year-old Dennis Jackson of Independence was killed in the crash, while his wife, Amy Jackson, is fighting for her life in a Salem hospital.
The single engine aircraft was built in 2004.
What happened is under investigation.
