Bridge Lifts And Traffic Jams As Fleet Leaves Portland

Portland, Oregon – Drivers around downtown Portland be aware: the last of the ships will depart this morning between about 7 and 10am, which means downtown bridge lifts and traffic jams. The Rose Festival wrapped up Sunday and with it Portland bid farewell to Fleet Week. Eight ships were docked along the Willamette, including two from the U-S Navy, three from the U-S Coast Guard, and two from the Royal Canadian Navy. Yesterday was the last day for tours.
