11 Children In Washington State Diagnosed With COVID-19 Related Illness

OLYMPIA, WA. – 11 kids in Washington State are diagnosed with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C).

It’s a rare disease associated with COVID-19.

Six of the children are nine or younger and five are ten or older.

The counties reporting MIS-C cases are:

  • Franklin: 2
  • King: 3
  • Skagit: 1
  • Snohomish: 2
  • Yakima: 3

The race/ethnicity of MIS-C cases in Washington is:

  • 55 percent Hispanic
  • 18 percent white
  • 9 percent Black
  • 9 percent Asian
  • 9 percent American Indian or Alaska Native

As of today, the CDC reports 40 states have reported a total of 570 cases.
