Woman Drowns After Falling Into Columbia River During Company Party

TROUTDALE, Ore. — Authorities say a woman whose body was found in the Columbia River in Troutdale early Wednesday morning drowned during a company party.

26-year-old Olivia Payne reportedly fell while trying to board a boat docked at property on Northeast Sundial Road and landed in the water.

Multnomah County Sheriff’s Deputies found her unresponsive in the water.  She was pronounced dead on scene.

Volunteers from TIP NW provided emotional support for those attending the event.
