Woman Dead, Man Wounded In East Portland Shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. — Two people were shot at Northeast 148th and East Burnside late on the night of July 6th.
Officers responded just after 11:20pm. A woman died and a man was wounded. The deceased has been identified as Gladis Mendoza-Hernandez, 42.
The man has been released from the hospital after being treated for gunshot wounds to his lower extremities.
The suspect or suspects left the scene, and a description has not been released.
This marks the city’s 43rd homicide of the year.
