Salem, Or. – The Oregon Department of Forestry says its working to put out a number of wildfires in the western part of the state. They’re fueled by strong easterly winds and dry conditions.

The biggest fires are The North Fork Fire east of Molalla. It has burned 65 acres. The Detroit Dam Fire west of Detroit has burned 50 acres. The other fires are 10 acres or less in size.

The department says its working with industrial land owner partners and what it calls cooperators to put out the fires.
