Wind Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands

PORTLAND, Ore. — Several thousand homes and businesses around Oregon and Southwest Washington are in the dark Friday morning due to a wind storm.

As of 8:30am, 3,800 Portland General Electric customers in Multnomah County are in the dark.  That’s down from a peak of over 5,000.

A combined 4,300 outages are reported in Marion, Clackamas, Washington and Yamhill counties.

Clark Public Utilities reports about 700 outages in Southwest Washington.
