As arguably the most liberal state in the country, California loves to add taxes and regulation on just about anything you can think of, and the gas that goes into your car is no different. The low-carbon fuel standard (LCFS) being considered by Washington state legislators in their new bill HB 1091 would cost you a lot at the pump, but would it really change anything or improve the environment like California’s legislature promised when they introduced the same thing?
