Portland, Oregon – A Portland city commissioner is upset that boulders have been placed around the city by ODOT to keep the homeless away. KXL was the first to bring you the Boulder story about 6 weeks ago. At the time homeless were sleeping so close to a freeway entrance at SW 14th and Burnside a car could easily have killed someone. Commissioner JoAnn Hardesty filmed herself with a member of JOIN blasting ODOT for moving boulders in to push homeless out. Hardsety says she’s outraged and invites you to contact ODOT and complain. She says we need housing we don’t need boulders. We will hear from ODOT officials later today.
