Washington’s Outdoor Mask Mandate To End February 18th, Date To End Indoor Mandate To Be Announced Next Week

OLYMPIA, Wa. – Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced Wednesday that the state’s outdoor mask mandate will end on February 18th, “We believe this wave has gone up like a rocket and is going to come down like a rock.”

However, the Governor says he’s not yet ready to end the indoor mask mandate, “It’s no longer a matter of if, it is a question of when. And I expect to share that date with Washingtonians next week after we have another week of data…”

The Governor Wednesday also announced that the National Guard is now preparing to leave the state’s hospitals and that the pause on non-urgent surgeries is ending on February 17th.
