Vacation Time? Head to Eastern Oregon!

There are a lot of things to do right here in the Pacific Northwest!  Instead of hopping on a plane to check out other states or countries, there are plenty of vacation-worthy spots you can drive to.   The Frontier Chamber of Commerce is hoping you’ll choose Eastern Oregon.   We talked to executive director K’Lynne Lane about why the area is so special.   You can hear the story here:

The city of Condon is a  century-old farming community nestled between miles of rolling, golden wheat fields, less than 40 miles away from the Columbia River.   It’s the Gateway to John Day Recreation Area, and it’s at the doorstep of the Blue Mountains and the new Cottonwood Canyon State Park.

This area of Oregon is less than three hour’s drive from Portland, and two and a half hours from Bend.
