Albany, Ore. – A pastor in Albany says people are just not going to church. Another minister tells the Herald Democrat – the trend is worse in Oregon. According to a Gallup poll, nearly half of Oregon residents, 48-percent, are not religious whatsoever. That’s the fifth-highest in the U.S. behind four New England states. The national average is 33 %. The lack of members is putting a strain on church budgets. One Oregon minister says the rest of the country will be we’re Oregon currently is in twenty years.
