Two Shootings In North Portland, One Deadly

PORTLAND, Ore.–the first shooting took place around 6:30 last night near Northeast Russell and Rodney avenues.  A man was shot and killed there.  The victim was found lying in the street.  Medical crews say he was dead when they arrived.  Police did not find a suspect.

The second shooting happened this morning at 3:30 A.M. Police found a man shot in the St. Johns neighborhood at an apartment complex on North Swift Way.  His injuries were non-life threatening.  He was taken to the hospital.   A robbery may have involved in this shooting.  In both cases it’s not clear whether the victims knew the shooters.  Police are eager to get more suspect information. if you saw anything please contact them.
