Gresham, Ore. — Gresham Police saying Tuesday that reports from two seperate 11-year-old girls of men trying to lure them into their cars, were not credible.

In a written statement, police say:

We take these incidents very seriously. After spending hours investigating what occurred and reviewing video surveillance in the area, detectives have determined that the reports are not credible and there is no threat to the public.

While child luring by a stranger is rare, it is still important that parents take the time to talk to their kids about stranger danger.
