Two Portland Police Officers Injured During Incident

PORTLAND, Ore. – Two Portland Police officers were injured during an incident Wednesday morning.
Police say around 9:30, the officers responded to an apartment building on Southwest 21st Avenue after a report that a person was checking door handles and threatening to sexually assault people inside.
When officers entered the building, Lonnie Hart allegedly attacked them.
With the help of two community members, officers were able to take Hart into custody.
Both officers were then taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
