Two People Shot In Car In North Portland In City’s Latest Homicide

PORTLAND, Ore. — One man died and another was wounded in a shooting late Tuesday night.

Officers responded to North Terry Street near Interstate Avenue around 11:50pm.  Both men were inside a car that was being used as a ride share service.  The passenger died.  He’s identified as 25-year-old Zamere Bentley.

The driver was taken to the hospital.

There is no word on a suspect.

This is the city’s 51st homicide of the year along with more than 700 shootings.
