Two People Rescued from House Fire in Milwaukie

Milwaukie, OR. — Clackamas Firefighters responded to a burning home near Southeast 38th and Rockwood Street just before 8 p.m. Thursday night. Authorities say one person survived thanks to a closed door that helped block the smoke and flames until crews arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. A second person rescued suffered minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
