Salem, Oregon – Two deadly shootings over the weekend in Salem, just a couple hours apart. The first shooting happened early Sunday morning at Englewood Park. The victim there later died at the hospital. Then police found a person who had been shot at a home on Northeast 22nd Street. That victim also died at the hospital. There is no suspect information in the first shooting, but police are talking to a suspect in the second one. Investigators have confirmed that the shootings are not connected.

The Salem Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred at Englewood Park at approximately 0048 hrs on August 4th, 2019.  The victim of the shooting later died at a local hospital.  No victim or suspect information is currently available.  This investigation is on going and no additional details will be released. Investigators can confirm that this shooting is unrelated to the later shooting in the 400 block of 22nd st NE, which occured at 0319 hrs on August 4th.

The Salem Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting in NE Salem.  Officers responded to a home in the 400 block of 22nd St NE at approximately 0319 hrs on August 4th, 2019 after receiving a report of a disturbance.  When officers arrived, they located one victim with a gun shot wound.  The victim was transported to the Salem Hospital via ambulance where they were pronounced deceased.  Investigators are questioning a suspect at this time.  This investigation is on going and more information will be released as it becomes available.
