SALEM, Or.—Over 300 truckers around the state formed a convey headed to the state capitol Wednesday. They are very upset about a cap and trade bill HB 2020. They say the clean energy bill will destroy trucking jobs and result in gasoline prices upwards of $4.00 per gallon. It also could cost every house hold in the state more money from groceries, to furniture, to cars and more.
Truckers commented that their industries are vital to a thriving economy and that Oregon will be a big loser if the bill passes.
