TriMet & C-TRAN Give Free Rides, Extend Service For New Year’s Eve

PORTLAND, Ore. — If you plan to celebrate New Years Eve, but want to leave the driving to someone else, TriMet and C-TRAN are playing the role of designated driver by offering free rides and extending service past midnight.

TriMet is not taking fares on buses, MAX or streetcar after 8:00pm.  MAX lines, except for the red line, will run at least every 30 minutes through 3:00am.

C-TRAN is free after 6:00pm through the end of service around 2:00am.

Masks are federally mandated on public transit.
