Tri Met Barber Enters Not Guilty Plea
Portland, Or. – 32 year old Jared Walter was arraigned today on new charges. His public defender entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. He appeared via video from Inverness Jail where he was sent following his arrest last month on charges of inappropriately touching a woman on a Max train. The new charges involve a woman who spoke up after last month’s arrest. They include harassment, sexual harassment, sexual abuse and interfering with public transportation.
A bail hearing will be held tomorrow. He’s currently being held on $109,000 bail.
Walter, who is a registered sex offender, has been arrested multiple times over the last ten years for everything from inappropriately touching women on Max trains and buses to actually cutting their hair.
