Trail Blazers Legend Terry Porter Returning To Rip City As Alumni Ambassador

PORTLAND, Ore. – A legend is returning to Rip City.

The Portland Trail Blazers say Terry Porter will serve as an Alumni Ambassador.

His job will be to build relationships between the organization and the community.

He’ll also be seen on pre, half, and postgame shows.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to rejoin the Trail Blazers organization as an ambassador,” said Terry Porter, Trail Blazers Alumni Ambassador. “The organization was great to me as a player, and I’m thrilled to be back in this role. I look forward to connecting with the Rip City community, alumni, and all of Oregon.”

Other team ambassadors are Brian Grant and Bob Gross.

The former star point guard was drafted in 1985 and played in Portland for 10 seasons.

His number 30 is retired in the Moda Center rafters.
