Thousands Without Power Across Northwest Oregon And Southwest Washington

Portland, Ore. — High winds knocked out power to more than 100,000 people across the metro region Tuesday.  At 11 am, PGE reported more than 84,000 customers were in the dark.  Pacific Power reported more than 30,000 customers were without power, and Clark Public Utilities reported over 17,000.

High winds also brought down trees across the area including Highway 26 in the coast range, 99E near Canby and even in Downtown Portland.
