Suspected Arson With Fireworks at Portland Plaid Pantry Store

Portland, Oregon – Fireworks may be to blame for a fire at a Plaid Pantry in North Portland. Authorities say at least one firework was tossed into the store at Greeley and Rosa Parks just before 9pm last night. Crews were on the scene in a hurry and had the fire knocked down in about ten minutes, but the store was badly damaged. The President of the Plaid Pantry chain spoke to KGW, saying the store is a complete loss.

No customers were inside the store at the time and the employees got out safely. Arson detectives are investigating. Portland Fire wouldn’t confirm that the fire was sparked by fireworks…but they are looking into it.
