Suicidal Man Barricaded In Hillsboro Apartment Ends His Own Life

HILLSBORO, Ore. — A man went to the Park Village Apartments on Tuesday night where he knew some people living in one of the units.  When they let him in, he asked for a shotgun in their safe and told them he didn’t want to go to jail.

The tenants left the apartment.  A specialized team of negotiators tried to talk the troubled man out of the apartment for about 12 hours.  They were unsuccessful.

The man had previous contact with law enforcement and was wearing an ankle bracelet.
