Student Shot Near Cleveland High School

PORTLAND, Ore. – A 16-year-old student was injured in a shooting near Cleveland High School Monday afternoon.
Portland Police say they were called to the area just after 12:30 on reports of gunfire in the area.
A short time after the 9-1-1 call, the teen walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
The student is expected to survive.
The school went into lockdown and officers found evidence of a shooting outside the school, but partially on school grounds.
Witnesses told police it may have been a drive by shooting.
Police are still investigating and there is no suspect description released.
